ZERO EMISSIONS

Making Sustainability Awesome af.

How Chimpy contributes to the transition towards 100% renewable energy and circular economy while becoming a carbon-negative energy distributor.

SOLAR

100% Powered by Renewables

We produce solar power on our roof to recharge our powerbanks. We also fully power our operations, offices and logistics fleet with solar.

CIRCULAR

Circular by Re-Using

One Chimpy rental powerbank replaces up to 10 powerbanks sold in retail. Every powerbank not produced avoids up to 2 kg of CO2 emissions. We make sure to maximize re-use cycles of our powerbanks.

No FOSSIL FUEL

Emission-free Logistics

We deliver to the point of sale only with e-bikes charged with solar power. For logistics operated by third parties we always select the low emission option.

No Waste

Closed-Loop Product Lifecycle

We use 100% durable goods, no packaging. We upcycle or recycle 100% of our products at the end of their lifecycle.

Avoid

Climate Neutral BizOps

We reduce CO2 emissions per employee by traveling by train instead of flying, not driving cars, not using A/C, using only second-hand material & furniture in the offices.

REMOVE

Offset Residual Emissions

Although we are avoiding and reducing emissions, some residual emissions remain. We compensate all our CO2 emissions released within the product cycle with local climate capturing projects.

Reuse

Extended Life Cycle

We clean our powerbanks after each rental. About traces that can not be removed we inform via stickers and are thus able to leave powerbanks longer in circulation. More on this project here.
