Equipping an entire ski resort with Chimpys using skidoos and skis

This is truly unprecedented. Just in time for the winter season, we have equipped the Serfaus-Fiss-Ladis ski area in Austria with Chimpy Powerbank Stations in a spectacular action. Now, a dead battery on the slopes is a thing of the past.

The service upgrade for guests

Now, across 15 locations throughout the ski area, our power bank vending machines are available, where one can easily rent a power bank for a fee. No app, no registration, no worries. And you can keep using your smartphone on the go. Once the phone is charged, just return the power bank at the next machine. If you end up taking it home in the excitement (or powder-induced joy), no problem. The power bank can be returned not just in the ski area but across our entire Chimpy network in Switzerland, Austria, Italy, or Germany.

With sirens through the fog

Although the external conditions were suboptimal – or perhaps because of it – we went all out in delivering our machines, navigating through dense fog and snowfall with skidoos and skis to ensure power-on-the-go even at the last peak. For our team from Vienna and Zurich, it was a premiere to put power bank vending machines into operation in this way. A mandatory winner photo after setting up each machine was, of course, a must.
