1. Eligibility

Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or older, as well as teams consisting of students, freelancers, or professional designers. Employees of Chimpy are excluded from participation.

2. Submissions

By participating, the participant confirms that they hold the sole copyrights to the submitted work and that no third-party rights are violated.

3. Usage Rights

By submitting their concept, the participant grants Chimpy an exclusive, unlimited, worldwide right of use for the submitted work.

This includes, in particular, the right to:

  • use

  • reproduce

  • publish

  • edit and further develop

  • implement the concept in all existing and future media and applications

The copyright remains with the creator and cannot be transferred by law. However, the participant agrees not to further exploit the submitted concept themselves nor grant usage rights to third parties. Any additional use, publication, or commercial exploitation by the participant is prohibited.

4. Compensation

The awarded prizes (e.g., CHF 3,000.–) constitute full compensation for the granted usage rights of the winning concept. Non-winning submissions are not entitled to any compensation.

5. Exclusion of Entries

Chimpy reserves the right to exclude entries that:

  • violate laws,

  • constitute plagiarism,

  • cause technical issues,

  • disrupt or manipulate the competition.

6. Selection Process

Evaluation is carried out by an internal jury (Marketing, Design, Operations). Legal recourse is excluded.

7. Changes

Chimpy reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition if necessary.

Data We Collect

We only process data necessary to conduct the competition:

  • Name / Team name

  • Email address

  • Educational or professional information

  • Origin (city/country)

  • Submitted materials (concept, PDF, images, etc.)

Purpose of Data Processing

The data is used for:

  • Managing and conducting the competition

  • Contacting participants

  • Sending the briefing

  • Jury evaluation of submissions

  • Notifying the winners

Data Sharing

Data is not shared with third parties, unless strictly necessary for the execution of the competition (e.g., jury members).

Storage Duration

Data is stored only as long as required for the competition. Winning concepts may be stored indefinitely (due to granted usage rights).

Your Rights

Participants have the right to access, rectify, delete, or revoke their data. Requests can be sent to: design@heychimpy.com
