1. Eligibility
Participation is open to individuals aged 18 or older, as well as teams consisting of students, freelancers, or professional designers. Employees of Chimpy are excluded from participation.
2. Submissions
By participating, the participant confirms that they hold the sole copyrights to the submitted work and that no third-party rights are violated.
Timeline for submissions:
Concepts may be submitted until December 31st.
3. Usage Rights
By submitting their concept, the participant grants Chimpy an exclusive, unlimited, worldwide right of use for the submitted work.
This includes, in particular, the right to:
use
reproduce
publish
edit and further develop
implement the concept in all existing and future media and applications
The copyright remains with the creator and cannot be transferred by law.
However, the participant agrees not to further exploit the submitted concept themselves nor grant usage rights to third parties.
Any additional use, publication, or commercial exploitation by the participant is prohibited.
4. Compensation
The awarded prizes (e.g., CHF 3,000.–) constitute full compensation for the granted usage rights of the winning concept. Non-winning submissions are not entitled to any compensation.
Prize money details:
The total prize money amounts to CHF 3,000.–.
If a team participates, the amount is paid once per winning submission, not per person.
The prize money will be paid via bank transfer, at the latest by January 31st.
Payment is processed via a “Prize Money Payout Form”, which must be completed by the winner.
The form includes:Name, address, date of birth
IBAN
Confirmation that the prize is a one-time payment
Purpose: “Prize money for the winning contribution of the Chimpy Design Competition 2025”
Amount: e.g., CHF 3,000.–
No invoice is required.
Legal and tax note:
The winner receives a prize of CHF 3,000.–. This does not constitute employment income. The winner is responsible for correctly declaring the prize for tax purposes.
5. Exclusion of Entries
Chimpy reserves the right to exclude entries that:
violate laws,
constitute plagiarism,
cause technical issues,
disrupt or manipulate the competition.
6. Selection Process
Evaluation is carried out by an internal jury (Marketing, Design, Operations).
A decision will be made by January 9th.
Notification:
All participants will be notified in writing via email about the jury’s decision by January 9th.
This includes the winner as well as all non-winning participants.
Further notes:
No correspondence will be conducted regarding the competition.
A cash payout of the prize is not possible.
Legal recourse is excluded.
7. Changes
Chimpy reserves the right to modify or cancel the competition if necessary.

Email address
Educational or professional information
Origin (city/country)
Submitted materials (concept, PDF, images, etc.)
Information required for prize payout (only for the winner), such as:
Name, address, date of birth
IBAN
Confirmation related to the one-time prize payment
Purpose of Data Processing
The data is used for:
Managing and conducting the competition
Contacting participants
Sending the briefing
Jury evaluation of submissions
Notifying the winners
Processing the prize payout for the winning concept
Data Sharing
Data is not shared with third parties unless strictly necessary for the execution of the competition (e.g., jury members, financial processing partners for payout).
Storage Duration
Data is stored only as long as required for the competition.
Winning concepts may be stored indefinitely (due to granted usage rights).
Prize payout data is stored only as long as legally required for accounting purposes
Your Rights
Participants have the right to access, rectify, delete, or revoke their data.
