It depends on how much the Chimpy Powerbank is damaged. We reserve the right to refuse returns if the Chimpy Powerbank is badly damaged or the label has been removed or damaged. Some small scratches and dents are ok.

You can dispose of your bloated or damaged Chimpy Powerbank yourself. You can do this the same way you would with any other battery.

You can also contact us via our contact form. We will send you a special disposal envelope in which you can return your bloated or damaged Chimpy Powerbank to us. We will then take care of the disposal for you.

You must contact us in any case. At the kiosk, you’ll only get back the CHF 15.– deposit. We’ll transfer the remaining CHF 5.– to you.

Every Chimpy Powerbank comes with either one of the following plugs:

• USB-C

• Apple Lightning

• Micro-USB

If you rent a Chimpy Powerbank at a Selecta vending machine or an automated Chimpy Powerbank station, all three plugs will be provided.

If you have a green Chimpy Powerbank, you can press the black button on the top left side. If 4 lights are visible on the front side, the powerbank is fully charged.

If you have a black Chimpy Powerbank, you can press the blue or green button on the bottom left side. If a full white or blue bar is visible on the top, the powerbank is fully charged.

Chimpy offers three different powerbanks — depending on where you rent them.

The new USB-C powerbank has 6000mAh and a power output of 12–15W.

The Micro-USB version has 5000mAh and 10.5W output.

The station powerbank has 5000mAh and 10.5W output.

This is how you charge your smartphone with a Chimpy Powerbank:

1. Turn the Chimpy Powerbank on:
   a) Push the black button on the upper left side of a green Chimpy Powerbank
   b) Push the blue or green button on the lower left side of a black Chimpy Powerbank

2. Plug the correct cable for your smartphone into the charging port of your smartphone.
   a) If you have rented a Chimpy Powerbank at a Selecta machine, you need to plug the USB-C or lightning port on to the Micro-USB plug before you can use them.

3. Charge your phone.

If your Chimpy Powerbank isn’t working properly, you can try the following: Is the Chimpy Powerbank on?

• Push the black button on the upper left side of a green Chimpy Powerbank

• Push the blue or white button on the lower left side of a black Chimpy Powerbank

Is the Chimpy Powerbank fully charged?

• If you have a green Chimpy Powerbank, you can press the black button on the top left side. If 4 lights are visible on the front side, the powerbank is fully charged.

• If you have a black Chimpy Powerbank, you can press the blue button on the bottom left side. If a full white or blue bar is visible on the top, the powerbank is fully charged.

Do you have the right cable and is it plugged in correctly?

Did you clean the charging port of your Smartphone?

Yes, you can recharge the green Chimpy Powerbank with a Micro-USB. You can find the input on the top.

The black Chimpy Powerbanks are either rechargable with a Micro-USB or with a USB-C. You can find the input on the lower right side.

We guarantee that you can charge every smartphone that needs a USB-C, Lightning or Micro-USB cable. A lot of other small electronic devices (like speakers, headphones, airpods, vapes and electronic cigarettes) are also compatible, but without guarantee.

Charging your smartphone with a Chimpy Powerbank requires the same amount of time like when it is charged at a normal power outlet.
